COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (March 27, 2026) – USA Basketball announced today 42 athletes who will participate in the 2026 USA Basketball Women’s Junior National Team minicamp. The fourth annual women’s minicamp will take place in Phoenix from April 2-5 in conjunction with the 2026 NCAA® Women’s Final Four®.
Minicamp participants will represent the high school graduating classes of 2027, 2028, 2029 and 2030. Athletes and coaches were selected by the USA Basketball Women’s Developmental National Team Committee. In addition to on-court drills and scrimmages, athletes will participate in a series of educational presentations and attend the semifinal games on Friday night.
“We are extremely excited to welcome this year’s USA Basketball Women’s Junior National Team minicamp to Phoenix,” said Briana Gould, USA Basketball’s Women’s National Team director and committee chair. “Congratulations to the young women invited. We look forward to seeing them compete and grow alongside an experienced group of coaches.”
The class of 2027 will be represented by Haylen Ayers, Caroline Bradley, Ryan Carter, Celsy Colombo, Harper Dunn, Eve Long, Tatiana Mason, Madeline Mignery, Sydney Mobley, Saniyah Murray, Micah Ojo, Qandace Samuels, Sydney Savoury, Kaleena Smith and Nation Williams.
For the class of 2028, Hailey Benbow, Dakhari ‘Strawberry’ Blankumsee, Sydney Douglas, Kayla Eberz, JaKaila Gaskin, Reece Gilpatrick, Tatianna Griffin, Jhaliana Guy, Janiyah Hargrave, Jordyn Haywood, Belle Hill, Maliyah Hunter, Amy Nduka, Ella Peper, Morghan Reckley, Arianna Robinson, Erin Thomas and Sutton Villa will be in attendance.
The class of 2029 will see Avery Bollin, Kolbi Brooks, Geralynn Byers Veal, Khloe Ison, Chloe Jenkins, Jayden McClain, Carib Morris and Kristen Winston present.
Claire Stoops will represent the class of 2030.
The group returns 29 athletes with prior USA Basketball experience, 23 of whom participated in the USA Women’s U16 National Team trials in 2025. Bradley, Gilpatrick, Griffin, Haywood, Long, Ojo, Reckley, Robinson and Williams went on to represent the USA and win gold at the 2025 FIBA U16 Women’s AmeriCup in Irapuato, Mexico. Douglas was a member of the 2025 USA Women’s U19 National Team that earned gold at the 2025 FIBA U19 Women’s World Cup in Brno, Czechia.
Twenty-two of the athletes also partook in the 2025 Women’s Junior National Team minicamp in Tampa, Florida.
Minicamp coaches include Mia Augustavo-Fisher, Steve Gomez, Brittanny Johnson, Krystle Johnson and Liz Kay.
Gomez currently coaches at Lubbock Christian University and has served as the head coach of the 2025 USA Women’s U16 National Team and as assistant coach for the 2017 U16 and 2018 U17 National Teams, with each team earning gold at their respective competitions. Brittanny Johnson serves as head coach at Evanston Township High School in Illinois and was an assistant coach with the 2025 U16 and 2022 U17 National Teams, earning gold at both events. Krystle Johnson is head coach at Hoover High School in Alabama, where she has led the Lady Bucs to six consecutive state titles, and was an assistant coach for the 2025 USA Women’s U16 National Team. Kay serves as head coach at Wahconah Regional High School in Massachusetts and was a court coach at two 2025 USA Basketball Gold Camps. Augustavo-Fisher, the head coach at Bishop Blanchet High School in Washington, will make her USA Basketball coaching debut in Phoenix.
