LEÓN, Mexico (Nov. 30, 2025) – The USA capped off a perfect weekend in León, Mexico, on Sunday by winning men’s and women’s gold medals at the 2025 FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup.
Both squads handled business on the final day of action, combining for a 10-0 record. This marks the second-consecutive 3x3 AmeriCup gold medal for the men’s team and the first since 2023 for the women’s.
Allisha Gray earned MVP honors and was named to the Team of the Tournament after averaging 5.0 points per game and racking up 14 key assists over five games. Cameron Forte won MVP and was named to the Team of the Tournament on the men’s side with 6.8 points per game and 5.2 rebounds per game.
The U.S. women team fended off Canada, 21-19, to earn their gold medal. The game got off to a slow start but the Americans built a 12-7 advantage over the opening minutes. From there, the pace intensified with each team trading scores. Canada kept the game to one-possession on the scoreboard and eventually tied things up at 19. Needing two points to win the game, Gray was fouled on the perimeter and awarded two free throws due to being in the bonus.
Gray, a 3x3 Olympic champion, calmly knocked down both shots and was swarmed by her teammates as the Americans danced away with the gold medal. Gray scored nine points in the final and Naz Hillmon filled the stat sheet with eight points and eight rebounds.
The men had a strong performance and defeated Puerto Rico, 21-15, to secure their gold medal. The USA came out hot with the first four points of the game, establishing an early lead and tone for the game. This lead remained consistent for much of the 10-minute sprint with the U.S. quickly building towards the 21-point target.
As the Americans looked to put the game away late, Puerto Rico cut the lead to two at 17-15. The United States didn’t waver and ended the game on another 4-0 run capped by a Henry Caruso bucket to seal the deal. Forte led with eight points followed by six points from Dylan Travis.
The FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup began in 2021 and is an annual fixture. Today’s USA gold medals account for the third the women and the fourth for the men. This is just the second time that both teams won gold medals in the same year, the first being at the inaugural event in 2021. These wins bring up the general medal totals as well, as the women now hold five medals: three gold, one silver and one bronze. The men have four medals, all of which are gold.
