COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (Nov. 17, 2025) – Registration for the 2026 U.S. Open Basketball Championships is now open. After introducing two events in 2025, USA Basketball will once again host two tournaments in 2026 under the U.S. Open Basketball Championships banner to offer teams the opportunity to compete for a USA Basketball trophy.
The East championships will be held June 5-7, 2026, in Bermuda Run, North Carolina, while the West championships are set for July 3-5, 2026, in Mesa, Arizona.
Both championships will have five divisions for boys and girls, including 12 & under, 13 & under, 8th grade, 9th grade and 10th grade. Registration is open on a first-come, first-served basis until division capacity is reached. Teams may sign up to play in one or both tournaments.
Teams can register for a special early bird price of $350 per team now through Feb. 28, 2026, for the East championships and through March 31, 2026, for the West. Following the early bird deadlines, standard registration is $450 per team. Group discounts are also available for programs registering three or more teams.

All coaches must hold a valid 2025-26 USA Basketball Coach License. Each division will meet USA Basketball’s youth guidelines for player segmentation with age and grade verification to ensure safe, fair play. Division eligibility is below.

The East championships tip on June 5, 2026, at RISE Indoor Sports in Bermuda Run. The West championships begin July 3, 2026, at Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa. Teams are guaranteed at least four games against national competition and will receive USA Basketball gear. Each tournament is structured with pool play feeding into bracket play.
The winning team from each division will earn the right to hoist the U.S. Open Basketball Championships trophy. Each event will also feature skills challenges for players and a tournament cookout for all teams.
