BUCHAREST, Romania (Nov. 9, 2025) – Team Miami strung together a 3-1 campaign at the Bucharest Masters, the second-to-last stop on the 2025 FIBA 3x3 World Tour, this weekend. Despite a strong start and several clutch performances, Miami’s run came to an end in the semifinals when a 1-point loss, 16-15, to Amsterdam (NED).
Against Amsterdam in the semifinals, Henry Caruso led Miami with eight points, while Dylan Travis contributed a crucial three-point swing midway through the game. Miami found themselves trailing 10-7 before rallying a comeback — a timely 2-pointer from Caruso evened the score at 14-all with two minutes left, and set up for a dramatic finish. In the closing seconds, Worthy de Jong found space and sunk the decisive bucket to give Amsterdam Rabobank a 16-15 win and conclude Miami’s weekend run.
The team opened up their tournament against host team Bucharest (ROU), battling through an early deficit before escaping with a 20-19 win. Vladyslav Mustiatsa’s pair of 2-pointers gave Bucharest a 10-5 edge early on but Miami refused to fold. Mitch Hahn led the comeback charge with seven points, while James Parrott added six. WIth just 12 seconds remaining and Miami trailing by one, a clutch free throw from Travis tied the score before Parrott’s late finish sealed the dramatic one-point win at the buzzer.
Riding the momentum of the thrilling opener, Miami faced Vienna (AUS) in their second pool play game. The matchup was tightly contested throughout, with the teams knotted at 13-apiece in the final minutes of play. Travis, who led all scorers with seven points on 2-of-4 shooting from beyond the arc, sparked Miami’s late surge, while Hahn followed with a key 2-pointer and Caruso capped the game with a bucket to secure a 17-13 victory.
Miami took their 2-0 pool play record into Sunday’s bracket action. In the quarterfinals, Miami squared off with Raudondvaris (LTU), and behind Caruso’s standout performance, earned a 21-16 win. Miami jumped out to a 9-5 lead early, but after Parrott’s 2-pointer extended the game to a four-point margin, Ruadondvaris’ Aurelijus Pukelis powered a comeback to pull his squad within one at 16-15. But Miami held firm in the final minutes, and Caruso’s eight points on an efficient 4-for-4 from inside and 2-for-3 from deep guided Miami down the stretch for a ticket to the tournament’s semifinals.
The Miami squad will be back in action on Nov. 21-22 for the circuit’s finale, the Manama Final. On the year, Miami holds two Masters titles and one Challenger event.
