DONGGUAN, China (Oct. 10, 2025) – Team Miami captured their first Challenger title of the 2025 3x3 World Tour with an undefeated run at the Dongguan Challenger, sealing the victory in a thrilling overtime showdown against Vienna. The perfect sweep earned Miami a formal bid to the Bucharest Masters Stop, set for Nov. 8-9 in Bucharest, Romania. The win is Miami’s third of the season on the FIBA 3x3 World Tour.
Mitch Hahn and Team Miami came out firing in the early Friday morning championship, as the big man powered his squad to an early 5-2 over second-seeded Vienna — a familiar rival on the circuit. After Dylan Travis made a beautiful play with a steal and quick dish to James Parrott for a dunk and a four-point advantage, Vienna began to rumble to life for a surge of their own.
Vienna leveled the score at 11-all with under four minutes remaining and refused to let up. Every 2-point strike from Miami was met with an answer and the teams remained deadlocked at 20-20 at the end of regulation.
Both squads brought lockdown defense into the clutch time, trading empty possessions in a tense back-and-forth. Enis Murati broke the stalemate with a driving layup to give Vienna a one-point edge. But Miami had the game-deciding response — Parrott drove and kicked it to Henry Caruso in the corner, who buried the winning 2-pointer. Caruso finished with a game-high eight points.
Team Miami’s road to Friday’s championship saw them take down Kanazawa (JPN), Christchurch (NZL), Shinagawa (JPN) and NY Harlem (USA) along the way. As the event’s top player, Caruso was named tournament MVP.
Up next, Team Miami continues their Asian tour with a stop at the Macau Masters, set for Oct. 18-19. They will enter the tournament as the second seed, trailing only top-seeded Ub (SRB).
