COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (June 30, 2025) – USA Basketball announced today that Maddyn Greenway has been added to the 2025 USA Basketball Women’s U19 National Team roster. The team will travel to Brno, Czechia, for the 2025 FIBA U19 Women’s World Cup from July 12-20.
Greenway, who will graduate Providence Academy in 2026, will make her USA Basketball competitive debut. She was previously a finalist for the 2023 USA Women’s U16 National Team and attended trials for the 2024 USA U17 National Team. Earlier this month, she was one of 25 athletes to compete in trials for the U19 squad.
Alivia McGill, who was named to the roster on June 20, is no longer available to compete.
In addition to Greenway, the 2025 USA Women’s U19 National Team includes Sienna Betts, Addison Bjorn, Jasmine Davidson, Sydney Douglas, Kate Harpring, Saniyah Hall, Kayleigh Heckel, Jordan Lee, Jerzy Robinson, Emilee Skinner and Zania Socka-Nguemen.
The team was selected by the USA Basketball Women’s Junior National Team Committee. Athletes eligible for this team must be U.S. citizens, born on or after January 1, 2006.
The team arrives today in Colorado Springs for five days of training camp before departing for Europe.
In Brno, USA Basketball will compete in Group A alongside Israel, Hungary and Korea. The red, white and blue will tip off vs. Korea on July 12 before taking on Hungary the following day, both at 2:15 p.m. ET. Group play concludes against Israel on July 15 at 8:30 a.m. ET.
The FIBA U19 Women’s World Cup, which was launched in 1985, features the world's top 16 U19 national teams who qualify based on their finishes the previous year at the biennial U18 zone championships (USA won gold at the 2024 FIBA U18 Women’s World Cup). The USA has won the gold medal in nine of the last 10 competitions, including the last three.
