Her 3x3 career began at 3x3 USA Basketball 3X Nationals, where she and the Blue Jays won the title. She represented the U.S. at the FIBA 3x3 Nations League and the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series the last two summers. Strong, an incoming sophomore at University of Connecticut, is a three-time FIBA 3x3 U18 Women’s World Cup champion (2022, 2023, 2024). LSU standout Mikaylah Williams also has a trio of 3x3 U18 gold medals, consecutively taking titles from 2021 through 2023. Prior to the 3x3 World Cup, both teams will be in action on the FIBA 3x3 Pro Circuit. The men, competing as Team Miami, will compete at the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Vienna Masters June 14-15 in Vienna, Austria. The women will play at the FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series Ulaanbaatar Stop June 18-19.
3x3 is played on a half-court with a 10-minute game clock and 12-second shot clock. Play is continuous, as teams “clear” the ball behind the 2-point line following a made basket, defensive rebound or steal. The first team to score 21 points via 1-point field goals or 2-pointers behind the arc is victorious; or if time expires then the team leading wins.
