COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (May 25, 2025) – USA Basketball announced today the 2025 USA Women’s U16 National Team roster following four days of trials in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The team will compete at the 2025 FIBA U16 Women’s AmeriCup from June 16-22 in Irapuato, Mexico.
The roster was selected by the USA Basketball Women’s Developmental National Team Committee and represents the graduating classes of 2026, 2027 and 2028. Athletes eligible for this team must be U.S. citizens, born on or after January 1, 2009.
The 2025 USA Women’s U16 National Team includes Jazman Bailey, Caroline Bradley, Reece Gilpatrick, Tatianna Griffin, Jordyn Haywood, Olivia Jones, Eve Long, Micah Ojo, Morghan Reckley, Arianna Robinson, Nation Williams and Ivanna Wilson Manyacka.
Wilson Manyacka won a gold medal at the 2024 FIBA U17 Women’s World Cup, while the rest of her teammates will make their USA Basketball competitive debuts next month.
Steve Gomez (Lubbock Christian University, TX) will serve as the USA’s head coach along with assistants Brittanny Johnson (Evanston Township High School, IL) and Krystle Johnson (Hoover High School, AL).
The 2025 FIBA U16 Women’s AmeriCup features eight teams from the FIBA Americas zone with the top four teams advancing to the 2026 FIBA U17 Women’s World Cup in Czechia.
The U.S. drew Group A with Argentina, Puerto Rico and Venezuela. The Americans tip off competition against Venezuela on June 16, followed by Puerto Rico on June 17 and Argentina on June 18. All three games will tip off at 5 p.m. ET/3 p.m. local.
The quarterfinals will take place June 20 with the semifinals and final set for June 21 and 22, respectively.
The Americans are 42-1 all-time in women’s U16 competition, having won four straight gold medals.
The team will reconvene for training camp in Colorado Springs next month before departing for Mexico. More information will be available at a later date. Accreditation applications for training camp are being accepted at USAB.com/credentials.
