The World team holds eight alumni that have been selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft including Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins and Deandre Ayton. The USA boast an 18-7 series advantage over the World team.
On the women’s side, 2023 Nike Hoop Summit World team alumni Shaneice Swain earned the distinction as the first Hoop Summit player to be drafted into the WNBA as she was selected by the Los Angeles Sparks in the second round of the 2023 WNBA Draft. Nyadiew Puoch, who also played for the World in 2023, was drafted by the Atlanta Dream with the 12th overall pick in 2024. The USA hold a 2-0 Hoop Summit advantage over the World.
The Nike Hoop Summit has been held annually since 1995, except for 2001-03 and 2020-21, and has been in Portland since 2008.
