The U.S. put together an impressive performance against Belize with a 96-point win. The Americans started how they finished last night’s game: scoring on the run. The team opened with a 23-0 burst and did not look back. They limited Belize, who scored 106 points last night versus Brazil, to less than 15 points per quarter.

TEAM NOTES
Keep it 150: The U.S. finished with 150 points in tonight’s victory. Tonight’s total was the second-highest scoring performance from the United States at the competition (156 vs. Uruguay, 6/20/14).
In Transition: The American’s doubled their 26 points on the break from last night’s contest. The team finished with 54 transition points against Belize while limiting the opponent to just one bucket in transition.
Hot Off The Pine: The bench was dominant for the USA in tonight’s game, scoring 89 points. The bench accounted for 58 of the team’s 76 points in the second half.
PLAYER NOTES
Not off Acuff: Darius Acuff Jr. led the USA in scoring again tonight, registering 23 points (9-12 FG, 3-6 3FG) to go along with 5 assists. He logged 14 minutes of playing time tonight.
Brown from Way Downtown: Mikel Brown Jr. shot the lights out, scoring 19 points while converting 87.5% from the field (7-8 FG) and 83.3% (5-6 3FG) from beyond the arc. He became the first U.S. player since Luke Kennard (7 vs. Uruguay, 6/20/14) to record 5-or-more triples in a game.
Double Figures: The U.S. had eight players finish with 10-or-more points. In addition to Acuff Jr. and Brown Jr., Jeremiah Fears (17), Morez Johnson Jr. (15), Shelton Henderson (14), Derrion Reid (12), Patrick Ngongba II (12) and Nate Ament (11) logged over 10 points apiece.
