The 2026 Nike Hoop Summit saw the men and women USA teams match up against World Select Teams.
WOMEN'S TEAM NOTES
Starting Out: The USA women started Jacy Abii, Maddyn Greenway, Saniyah Hall, Jerzy Robinson and McKenna Woliczko.
Sizzling Start: The red, white and blue jumped out to a 14-4 advantage to begin the contest, holding the World to an 0-for-8 shooting start from the field. The U.S. carried their early momentum through the rest of the opening quarter, finishing with a 27-12 lead, and would eventually take a commanding 58-33 lead into the half.
Scoring Frenzy: The USA set a Nike Hoop Summit record for total points (104) and margin of victory (27) with their dominant showing, surpassing the previous records set in the inaugural women’s game in 2023 (100-79 victory). The U.S. finished the game shooting 45.7% (42-92 FG) from the field, while limiting the World to just 33.3% (24-72 FG) shooting. All U.S. players scored in the win, with eight players recording at least 8 points.
Superlatives Abound: In addition to the USA’s scoring records, the stars and stripes also set notable team records with 59 rebounds (surpassing 46 rebounds in 2025 & 2024), 26 assists (surpassing 24 assists in 2025) and 6 blocks (surpassing 5 blocks in 2025).
WOMEN'S PLAYER NOTES
Dynamic Duo: Hall and Robinson paced the U.S. offense, with both players leading the way with 19 points. Hall (8-17 FG, 2-5 3FG, 1-2 FT) made her impact felt on both ends, also finishing with 8 rebounds and 4 steals, while Robinson tied a team high with 3 3-point makes.
Doubling Up: Woliczko recorded the Women’s Nike Hoop Summit’s first ever double-double, finishing with 10 points (5-9 FG) and a Hoop-Summit-record 13 rebounds to go along with a team-best 6 assists and 1 block.
Defensive Intensity: The U.S. saw four players record at least 3 steals in the victory, with Abii (5), Greenway (4), Hall (4) and Lola Lampley (3) all contributing to an 18-steal effort on the defensive end.
MEN'S TEAM NOTES
The Beginning: The USA men trotted out a starting five of Caleb Holt, Brandon McCoy Jr., Jordan Smith Jr., Tyran Stokes and Ethan Taylor.
Boom Boom Pow: Back-to-back Nike Hoop Summit men’s games have gone into overtime and in back-to-back Nike Hoop Summit’s, the United States prevailed. The 2025 event saw the USA win in a thriller, 124-114. Lather, rinse, repeat, the Americans took tonight’s matchup in dramatic fashion, 102-100.
Where Is The Love?: The USA leads the all-time series against the World, 20-7. Tonight marks the U.S.’s sixth straight over the World, dating back to 2019. Over the current streak, the red, white and blue have won by single digits three times (tonight; 90-84 in 2023; 93-87 in 2019) and by 10-or-more points three times (124-114 in 2025; 98-75 in 2024; 102-80 in 2022).
Don’t You Worry: After serving as an assistant coach for two Nike Hoop Summit USA men’s squads (2024 & 2023), Nick LoGalbo led the U.S. to victory as head coach. LoGalbo is one of nine coaches to serve as an assistant coach more than once at the Nike Hoop Summit.
MEN'S PLAYER NOTES
Meet Me Halfway: The U.S. held a slight lead at halftime, 43-42. Pacing the Americans was Holt’s 14 points on 5-for-9 shooting, including sinking 4 3-pointers. He finished the night with 24 points to go with 8 rebounds, 2 assists and a Hoop-Summit-record 7 steals in 33 minutes.
Let's Get It Started: In addition to Holt’s team-high 24 points, the Americans had four others score double figures. Jason Crowe Jr. added 16 points (6-11 FG, 1-2 3FG, 3-6 FT) off the bench, while Stokes tallied 15 (6-11 FG, 0-1 3FG, 3-4 FT), Smith Jr. had 13 (5-11 FG, 1-3 3FG, 2-3 FT) and McCoy Jr. chipped in 11 (3-5 FG, 1-2 3FG, 4-4 FT).
The End: The U.S. needed a pair of free throws from McCoy Jr. with under a second remaining to send the game into OT, 89-89. In the extra frame, the USA took the lead on a Caleb Gaskins 3-pointer to go up 99-97 with 1:36 left on the clock. The game was iced at the charity stripe as the U.S. hit their free throws to hold off the World.
