Six USA Basketball Coach Academies Scheduled for 2026

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (Jan. 26, 2026) – The USA Basketball Coach Academy, presented by Nike, returns in 2026 with six stops across the country. The program, which launched in 2015, provides basketball coaches the opportunity for professional development that is customized for all experience levels.

This year, stops will be hosted in Atlanta, Kansas City, Los Angeles, New York, Portland, Oregon, and Raleigh, North Carolina. 

Coach academies provide coaches with practical insight and education on how to teach the game to players of all abilities. Professional development sessions are for coaches of all levels. 

Each academy features both a Saturday session ticket or a weekend pass option, which includes Sunday. The Saturday session consists of on- and off-court clinics and lunch. The Sunday session is structured as a more intimate learning experience where coaches take part in lectures, film study, roundtable discussions and other learning styles in a small-group format led by experts including 10-time USA Basketball gold medalist head coach Don Showalter. All participants receive a catered breakfast. 

Registration for Saturday academies is $95. Coaches can also purchase a weekend pass for $215. The weekend pass is limited to 45 individuals per academy on a first come, first served basis. 

All attendees at USA Basketball Coach Academies must be at least 18 years old. 

USA Basketball Coach Academies highlight guest speakers from all areas of the game. Attendees will hear from a wide range of coaches, including those who work at the high school, collegiate, professional and international levels, as well as motivational speakers who focus on leadership training. The academies allow for networking and ongoing discussion between attendees and speakers.
