BERMUDA RUN, North Carolina (June 8, 2025) – After three days of nonstop hoops, 21 teams pocketed championships on the final day of the 2025 U.S. Open Basketball Championships East tournament in Bermuda Run, North Carolina.
For the second consecutive summer, over 100 teams made the journey to North Carolina for an opportunity to raise a trophy on Sunday. Those who collected championship souvenirs, in addition to every squad who laced up over the weekend, symbolized the sheer depth of talent on display at USA Basketball’s most prestigious youth event of the summer.
Dictated by pool play results, twenty teams suited up in championship contests in both the Stars and Stripes brackets, along with a pair of groups representing the National Wheelchair Basketball Association.
Stars bracket champions include:
- 8th grade boys – Apex Spurs Elite Edwards (NC) def. TN United (TN)

The U.S. Open Basketball Championships are slated to continue with the Central tournament at the Homefield Showcase Center in Kansas City, Kansas, from June 27-29. Like the U.S. Open in North Carolina, dozens of 12U, 13U, 8th Grade, 9th Grade and 10th Grade boys teams will lace up for a chance to claim some red, white and blue hardware.
