COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (May 27, 2025) – USA Basketball announced today the 2025 USA Men’s U16 National Team following five days of training camp in Colorado Springs. The 12-member roster, selected from 18 finalists, will compete at the 2025 FIBA U16 Men’s AmeriCup from June 2-8 in Juárez, Mexico.
The roster was selected by the USA Basketball Men’s Developmental National Team Committee and represent the graduating classes of 2027 and 2028. Athletes eligible for this team must be U.S. citizens, born on or after January 1, 2009.
The 2025 USA Men’s U16 National Team includes Nasir Anderson, Beckham Black, Mason Collins, Erick Dampier Jr., Colton Hiller, Bentley Lusakueno, Kameron Mercer, Jordan Page, CJ Rosser, Shalen Sheppard, Marcus Spears Jr. and AJ Williams.
Each of the 12 athletes will be making their USA Basketball competitive debuts in Mexico.
Scott Fitch (Fairport High School, NY) will serve as the USA’s head coach along with assistants Frank Bennett (Chaminade College Prep, MO) and Nick LoGalbo (Lane Technical College Prep, IL).
The 2025 FIBA U16 Men’s AmeriCup features eight teams from the FIBA Americas zone with the top four teams advancing to the 2026 FIBA U17 Men’s World Cup in Turkey.
The U.S. drew Group A with Mexico, Dominican Republic and Argentina. The USA tip off group play against Mexico at 10 p.m. ET on June 2, followed by matchups against Dominican Republic on June 3 and Argentina on June 4, both at 7:30 p.m. ET.
The Americans are 43-0 all-time at the competition, having won eight straight gold medals. For more information, click here.
