COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (May 21, 2025) – USA Basketball announced today four athletes who will represent the United States on the 2025 FIBA 3x3 Women’s Series starting May 23-24 in Marseille, France.
USA Basketball’s roster features Cierra Burdick, Sarah Strong, Mikaylah Williams and Sahara Williams. Athletes may be added to the USA roster as the season progresses.
The USA’s season begins Friday at the Marseille Women’s Series event in Marseille, France. As part of Pool C, USA will face Czech Republic and France on Friday at 10:15 a.m. and 2:05 p.m. ET, respectively. USA Basketball is also slated to compete at the Ulaanbaatar Women’s Series competition June 18-19 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, with additional events expected to be added at a later date.
All four USA team members have extensive USA Basketball experience in both 5-on-5 and 3x3.
Burdick most recently won the bronze medal at the Olympic Games Paris 2024. She also owns a pair of FIBA 3x3 Women’s World Cup gold medals in 2014 and 2023.
Strong, who last month won an NCAA title with University of Connecticut, is a three-time FIBA 3x3 U18 Women’s World Cup champion in 2022, 2023 and 2024. Last summer, she also won gold at the FIBA U18 Women’s AmeriCup in Bucaramanga, Colombia.
LSU standout Mikaylah Williams also has a trio of 3x3 U18 gold medals, consecutively taking titles from 2021 through 2023. The two-time USA Basketball 3x3 Female Athlete of the Year took home gold from the 2022 FIBA U17 Women’s World Cup in Debrecen, Hungary.
Sahara Williams recently completed her sophomore season at the University of Oklahoma. Like Strong and Mikaylah Williams, she won the 3x3 U18 World Cup title in 2022 and 2023.
Strong, Williams and Williams were named to the first-ever women’s Nike Hoop Summit roster in 2023.

3x3 is played on a half court with a 10-minute clock and a 12-second shot clock. The first team to 21 points, or the team in the lead at the end of regulation, is the winner.
