COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (Feb. 12, 2025) -- USA Basketball will host a Women in the Game conference at the University of South Florida’s CAMLS auditorium in Tampa Bay, Florida, on Thursday, April 3.
Launched in 2017, USA Basketball Women in the Game is an opportunity to educate and inspire more women to pursue a career in sports. While speakers will focus on supporting current female professionals, college women and high school girls, anyone is welcome to attend. Guest presenters from a variety of fields will share their personal career journeys, discuss the essential characteristics to succeed in their roles, and provide practical strategies to get started and sustain success in the highly competitive sports industry.
Registration is $65 and available online. Each attendee will receive lunch, USA Basketball gear and an opportunity to network with other participants and guest speakers. The following speakers and panelists have been confirmed, with additional presenters to be added before the event.
- Dr. Michelle Harrolle – University of South Florida, director of Vinik Sport & Entertainment Management Program
- Felisha Legette-Jack – Syracuse University, women’s basketball head coach
- Joni Taylor – Texas A&M University, women’s basketball head coach
- Briana Weiss – USA Basketball, Women’s National Team director
- Andrea Wilson – AT&T, director, sponsorships & experiential marketing
Following the event, all conference attendees will have the opportunity to apply to the USA Basketball Women in the Game Mentorship Program, which connects selected Mentees to experienced professionals for more discussion and learning.

USA Basketball, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2024, is the National Governing Body for the sport of basketball in the United States.
