COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (Dec. 18, 2024) – Registration for the 2025 U.S. Open Basketball Championships is now open. After a sold-out event in 2024, USA Basketball will expand the championships in 2025 and host two national tournaments under the U.S. Open Basketball Championships banner to offer teams more opportunities to compete for a USA Basketball trophy.
The East tournament will be held June 6-8, 2025, in Bermuda Run, North Carolina, while the Central tournament will be held June 27-29, 2025, in Kansas City, Kansas.
Both championships will have five divisions of play for boys and girls, including 12 & under, 13 & under, 8th grade, 9th grade and 10th grade. Registration is open on a first-come, first-served basis until division capacity is reached. Teams may sign up to play in one, or both, tournaments as two different locations and dates offer increased access to teams nationwide.
Teams can register for a special early bird price of $315 per team from now through Feb. 21, 2025. Following the early bird deadline, standard registration is $415 per team. Group discounts are also available for programs signing up three or more teams.

The East tournament tips on June 6, 2025, at Rise Indoor Sports in Bermuda Run. The Central tournament begins June 27, 2025, at Homefield Showcase Center in Kansas City. Registered teams are guaranteed at least four games against national competition and will receive USA Basketball gear. Each tournament is structured with pool play into bracket play.
The winning team from each division will earn the right to hoist the U.S. Open Basketball Championships trophy. Each event will also feature a skills challenge and a social.
Held since 2018, the U.S. Open Basketball Championships is a premier, open-registration youth basketball tournament hosted by USA Basketball intended to add opportunity, standards and quality at the youth basketball level. For more information, click here.
