COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (Nov. 9, 2024) – In their third FIBA 3x3 Men’s World Tour competition in as many weeks, Team Miami secured their fifth FIBA 3x3 World Tour title of 2024 with a tournament victory at the Neom Masters in Neom, Saudi Arabia on Nov. 9.
This marks the second circuit triumph for this iteration of Miami (Kaohsiung Challenger), which features Dylan Travis, James Parrott, Mitch Hahn and Trey Bardsley. Parrott, Miami’s versatile 6-foot-4 slasher, earned MVP honors for the second time in his 3x3 career.
After winning four contests, Miami squared off against Liman (Serbia) before a jam-packed crowd in the tournament’s final contest.
Backed by a balanced scoring attack, Miami jumped out to a quick 7-3 lead before Liman capitalized from deep to cut its deficit to two. Parrott fired back, though, with three quick points to retake a four-point edge and quell the Serbians.
Bardsley would stretch the Americans’ edge to six with several 1-point looks, but Liman would not quit. Despite holding a 20-15 lead in the game’s final minutes, the Serbians clawed to within 20-18.
With the game on the line, Travis set his feet and watched a deep look from the left wing hit nothing but nylon to clinch the 22-19 and Neom Masters title. Parrott captained the charge with 11 points, Travis accumulated five points and four rebounds and Bardsley scored four en route to Miami’s first title on the World Tour since September.
