COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (April 22, 2024) – USA Basketball Open Court, presented by Nike, announced five locations for the summer. Additional locations will be announced throughout the spring and summer.
In 2024, Open Court will head to Pennsauken Township, New Jersey; Farmington, Illinois; Orlando, Florida; Waukee, Iowa and San Francisco, this summer.
The goal of USA Basketball Open Court, which operates sessions over eight sessions in each city, is to connect children to the game of basketball in their communities by offering the opportunity to play for free in a fun, safe and developmentally appropriate environment.
Children choose how to engage in the sport through free play, such as skill games, five-on-five, 3x3 and station options during their designated age-based time slots, while earning USA Basketball/Nike prizes based on how often they attend. All programs are operated by USA Basketball licensed coaches.
