COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado and NEW YORK (March 20, 2024) – The 2024 USA Basketball Women’s National Team will tip off against Team WNBA at the 2024 AT&T WNBA All-Star Game, USA Basketball and the WNBA announced today. The league’s 20th All-Star Game will be played on Saturday, July 20 (5:30 p.m. PT/8:30 p.m. ET) at Footprint Center in Phoenix and will air on ABC.
“Participating in the AT&T WNBA All-Star Game will be a great opportunity for our national team as they prepare to defend their Olympic gold medal in Paris,” said USA Basketball CEO Jim Tooley. “It will also serve as a grand celebration of the growth and excellence of women’s basketball in our country and around the world.”
The exhibition game is part of the 2024 Women’s National Team training camp in Phoenix as the team prepares for the 2024 Olympic Summer Games in Paris. Olympic basketball competition is set to begin in France on July 27.
The game marks the second time that the WNBA All-Star Game will feature the USA Basketball vs. Team WNBA format as the two teams played in 2021 prior to the Tokyo Olympics (Team WNBA won 93-85).
USA Women’s National Team head coach Cheryl Reeve (Minnesota Lynx) will lead USA this summer and will be assisted by Kara Lawson (Duke University), Joni Taylor (Texas A&M) and Mike Thibault (Washington Mystics). The coaching staff together led the USA to a gold medal at the 2022 FIBA Women’s World Cup.
The USA officially qualified for the 2024 Olympics after winning its 11th World title at the 2022 FIBA Women’s World Cup in Sydney. The USA women are seeking their eighth straight– and tenth overall – Olympic gold medal.

In total, USA Basketball will be represented by four teams at the 2024 Olympic Summer Games, including 5-on-5 men and women and 3x3 men and women. The USA are reigning Olympic champions in 5-on-5 men and women and 3x3 women. The 3x3 men are set to make their Olympic debut this summer. More information about all four USA Basketball teams will be announced at a later date.
