COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (January 24, 2024) -- USA Basketball announced today it will host a Women in the Game conference in Cleveland at Cleveland State’s Wolstein Center on Thursday, April 4.
Launched in 2017, USA Basketball Women in the Game educates high school girls, college women and young professionals on career paths in the sports industry and how to turn their passion into opportunity. Guest presenters from a variety of fields will share their personal career journeys, discuss the essential characteristics to succeed in their roles, and provide practical strategies to get started and sustain success in the highly competitive sports industry.
Registration is $65 and available online. Each attendee will receive breakfast and lunch, as well as USA Basketball gear and an opportunity to network with other participants and guest speakers. The speaker lineup will be announced at a later date. Anticipated career fields represented include coaching, collegiate athletics administration, sport psychology, communications and officiating.
Additionally, the USA Basketball Foundation will award 12 full scholarships to women interested in working in sports to attend the conference.
