COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (January 22, 2024) – The USA Basketball Women’s National Team announced today the 18-athlete roster for training camp set for Feb. 2-4 at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Following training camp, 12 athletes will be selected by the USA Basketball Women’s National Team Committee to represent the United States at the 2024 FIBA Women’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament Feb. 8-11 in Antwerp, Belgium.
Five-time Olympic champion Diana Taurasi (2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020) is one of 11 Olympians who will participate in training camp, including Ariel Atkins (2020), Napheesa Collier (2020), Allisha Gray (2020, 3x3), Chelsea Gray (2020), Brittney Griner (2016, 2020), Jewell Loyd (2020), Kelsey Plum (2020, 3x3), Breanna Stewart (2016, 2020), A’ja Wilson (2020) and Jackie Young (2020, 3x3).
Additionally, Atkins, Kahleah Copper, Chelsea Gray, Sabrina Ionescu, Betnijah Laney, Plum, Stewart, Alyssa Thomas and Wilson were members of the gold-medal-winning 2022 USA Women’s World Cup Team.
The list of participating athletes is rounded out by Aliyah Boston, Rhyne Howard and Arike Ogunbowale, all of whom have previous USA Basketball experience.

2021-24 USA Basketball Women’s National Team head coach Cheryl Reeve (Minnesota Lynx) will lead the USA in training camp and at the Olympic Qualifying Tournament. She will be assisted by Mike Thibault (Washington Mystics) and Curt Miller (Los Angeles Sparks).
Tanisha Wright (Atlanta Dream) will serve as a court coach for training camp after also supporting as a court coach during the women’s national team training camp in November.
USA Basketball, in pursuit of its eighth consecutive Olympic gold medal, continues to evaluate the 2021-24 USA Women’s National Team player pool prior to naming a team for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
“With less than 200 days until the 2024 Olympic Summer Games, we are excited to bring together a group of athletes who aspire to represent the United States not only in Antwerp, but ultimately Paris,” said Jennifer Rizzotti, USA Basketball Women’s National Team Committee chair. "Not only will the training camp be tremendously valuable but the qualifying tournament in Belgium will offer a meaningful opportunity to compete against world-class talent as we get one step closer to selecting the 2024 USA Women’s National Team.”
Though the United States qualified for the 2024 Olympic Summer Games following the gold medal finish at the 2022 World Cup, the USA participates in the quadrennial qualifying tournament. The four-nation pool in Antwerp will feature matchups vs. Belgium on Feb. 8 at 2:45 p.m. ET, Nigeria on Feb. 9 at 12:15 p.m. ET and Senegal on Feb. 11 at 1:15 p.m. ET. Three additional four-team Olympic Qualifying Tournaments will take place concurrently in Brazil, China and Hungary. The United States, as reigning World champions, and France, as Olympic hosts, are qualified while the top three teams at each qualifying tournament, including the USA and France, will qualify for the Olympics.
