The United States completed their 2023 FIBA U19 Women's World Cup Group B play on Tuesday with a 112-49 victory over Chinese Taipei at Sports Complex Espartales in Madrid, Spain.
As the top finisher in the group, the Americans advance to the Round of 16 and will face the fourth ranked team in Group A on Wednesday, July 19. The Round of 16 matchups and times will be announced by FIBA after the conclusion on games tonight.
The final standings in Group B are USA (3-0), Mali (2-1), Germany (1-2) and Chinese Taipei (0-3)

TEAM NOTES
What's The Buzz?: The USA started the same five for the third straight game - Talana Lepolo, Kiki Rice, Cotie McMahon, Chloe Kitts and Grace VanSlooten. The quintet set the defensive tone by holding Chinese Taipei to 1-for-11 shooting to start the game, including 0-of-6 from three-point range.
A Swarm In July Ain't Worth A Fly: Chinese Taipei entered the game averaging 35 3-pointers per game. Against the U.S., they took 24 and hit at a .125 clip (3-for-24), their lowest percentage of the tournament. The USA gobbled up all the rebounds, pulling down 69 in the game.
Hive Mind: The USA shot 52.9% (45-85 FG) from the floor and 66.7% (16-24 FT) from the line. Chinese Taipei shot just 26.9% (21-78 FG) from the field and 66.7% (4-6 FT) from the charity stripe.
PLAYER NOTES
Queen Bee: For the second straight game, Joyce Edwards led the USA in scoring. She had a game-high 19 points on 9-of-13 shooting in 20 minutes of action.
Worker Bee: It was an all-around effort for Rice. The UCLA standout had an efficient 15 points on 5-of-8 shooting to go with eight rebounds in 20 minutes. She led the USA starters in scoring.
Sweet As Honey: The USA depth was on full display against Chinese Taipei. Including Edwards and Rice, the U.S. had five players score at least 15 points. The others were Londynn Jones (17 points, five rebounds, four assists), Breya Cunningham (16 points, eight rebounds) and Hannah Hidalgo (16 points, four assists).
