2023 USA Basketball Showcase to Feature Three Exhibitions in Abu Dhabi in August
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (June 21, 2023) – Tickets for the 2023 USA Basketball Showcase in Abu Dhabi will go on sale to the public on Wednesday, June 20, at 3 p.m. Gulf Standard Time/7 a.m. EDT. USA Basketball and Visit Abu Dhabi will host three games in preparation for the 2023 FIBA Men’s World Cup with the U.S. Men’s National Team facing Greece and Germany on Aug. 18 and 20, respectively, and Germany and Greece set to play on Aug. 19.
The games will tip off at 8 p.m. at Etihad Arena on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit usab.com/tickets.
Before arriving in the UAE, the U.S. will face Puerto Rico in Las Vegas on Aug. 7 and then travel to Malaga, Spain where the Spanish Basketball Federation will host a pair of exhibitions against Slovenia and Spain on Aug. 12 and 13, respectively.
The USA qualified for the 2023 FIBA Men’s World Cup in February. One of seven teams set to represent FIBA Americas in the 32-team field, the USA will play all its games at Manila’s Mall of Asia Arena as the tournament is set for Aug. 25 through Sept. 10.
The United States will face Greece, Jordan and New Zealand in the first round of the Group Phase as part of Group C. The U.S. opens first round play against New Zealand on Aug. 26 at 8:40 a.m. ET, followed by Greece on Aug. 28 at 8:40 a.m. ET and Jordan on Aug. 30 at 4:40 a.m. ET.
