The USA are one win away from capturing their fourth-straight gold medal at the Women's U16 Americas Championship after defeating Argentina in the semifinals, 112-48, on Sunday at Poliforum Zamná in Mérida, Mexico.
The USA is set to take on the winner of Canada vs. Puerto Rico in the gold medal game Monday, June 19, at 10:00 p.m. ET.
The Americans are 41-1 all-time at the competition. The U.S. own seven gold medals and have won 23-straight games.

TEAM NOTES
Doing the Dirty Work: The Americans controlled the paint and outrebounded Argentina, 56-29. The U.S. also outscored their opponent, 66-18, in the paint. The team has recorded 60-plus points in the paint in three of their five games in the tournament.
Second Half Effort: The U.S. controlled the second half and outscored Argentina, 47-18. The USA has only allowed 66 second-half points through five games.
Hot Shot: The U.S. shot a tournament-best 56.4% (44-78 FG) from the floor and 61.5% (16-26 FT) from the line. Argentina shot 25% (15-60 FG) from the field and 65% (13-20 FT) from the line. The Americans lead all teams in shooting with an average clip of 48.1% from the field.
PLAYER NOTES
McKenna's World: McKenna Woliczko finished with 24 points and 13 rebounds (10 OR) to go along with two assists, two steals and a block. She's the first American player to record a 20-point double-double at the competition since Juju Watkins recorded 21 points and 10 steals against Chile in 2021.
High Speed Lane: Lanie Grant had a personal-high 20 points (6-9 FG, 5-5 FT) to pair with three assists. Grant and Woliczko are the first teammates to score at least 20 points in a game since Katie Lou Samuelson (24) and Asia Durr (26) in 2013.
Cheers to You Ms. Robinson: Jerzy Robinson finished with 15 points (5-8 FG) and four rebounds. She leads all players in the tournament in scoring, averaging 16.0 points per game.
Aaliyah Goes Back-to-Back: Aaliyah Crump finished with 13 points (6-9 FG), three rebounds, two assists and three steals. Tonight was her second-straight game scoring in double figures.
