COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – USA Basketball will host youth basketball clinics at Otero Elementary School in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Wednesday, March 8. The on-court clinics will focus on fundamental skills in a fun environment for players of all levels and abilities.
The all-day event is curated for the entire school with sessions for each grade level. Throughout the day, kindergarten through fifth graders will join USA Basketball licensed coaches for 45-minute sessions that consist of introductions, warmups and drill stations (dribbling, passing, shooting, layups, footwork). Each participant will also receive a USA Basketball T-shirt.
USA Basketball is committed to providing youth safe, fun and developmentally appropriate environments in which they can enjoy the game. Other USA Basketball grassroots initiatives include coach licensing and education, coach academies, gold camps, youth clinics, open court programs, Women in the Game conferences and the U.S. Open Basketball Championships.
With over 2,500 kids served in schools and community centers across the country in 2022, USA Basketball operates free youth clinic programming year-round to introduce and grow the sport.
