Colorado Springs, Colorado – The USA Basketball Coach Academy, presented by Nike, returns in 2023 with six stops across the country. The program, launched in 2015, provides basketball coaches the opportunity for professional development that is customized for all experience levels.
For the upcoming year, stops will be hosted in San Francisco, Washington D.C., Orlando, Cleveland, Houston and New York.
The academy provides coaches with practical insight and education on how to teach the game to players of all ability levels. The professional development clinic sessions are implementable for coaches of all levels.
All stops feature the same format with a Saturday session ticket or a weekend pass, adding on a Sunday bonus day. The Saturday session consists of on- and off-court clinics, lunch and USA Basketball gear giveaways. The Sunday bonus day is an intimate session with 10-time USA Basketball gold medalist head coach Don Showalter.
Registration for the six Saturday academies is $95 but there is an early bird discount until March 1 that reduces the ticket price to $85.
The weekend pass, inclusive of the Saturday session and Sunday bonus day, is $215 and limited to 40 individuals per academy on a first come, first serve basis.
All attendees for the USA Basketball Coach Academies must be at least 18 years old to register.
The USA Basketball Coach Academies are conducted with presentations led by guest speakers from all areas of the game. Attendees will hear from a wide range of coaches, including those who teach at the high school, collegiate, professional and international levels, as well as motivational speakers who focus on leadership training. The clinics provide a setting for networking and ongoing discussions between attendees and speakers.
