The USA Women's National Team wrapped up the Group Phase at the 2022 FIBA Women's World Cup with a 121-59 victory against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The U.S. claimed the top spot in Group A with a 5-0 record.
The USA scored 100-plus points in three of the five pool play games (106-42 vs. Puerto Rico; 145-69 vs. Korea). The U.S. averaged 107.2 points during the Group Phase (536 total).
The game marked the inaugural matchup between the USA and Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Women's World Cup.

TEAM NOTES
Success in Successive Succession: The USA broke its record for consecutive wins at the World Cup by winning the 27th straight today. The previous streak of 26 occurred 1994-2006 while the current streak began in 2006.
Quay Up the Quarterfinals: With a 5-0 record in Group A, the USA secured the top spot in their group and qualified for the quarterfinals. The FIBA Women's World Cup Quarterfinals Draw will take place at the conclusion of the Group Phase on September 27.
Buckets, Bench & Break: Entering the game, the U.S. averaged 52.0% shooting, 46.8 bench points and 22.0 fastbreak points per contest. Those averages will grow with the USA shooting 65.8%, combining for 61 points off the bench and tallying 36 fastbreak points.
Pack-a-Punch: The U.S. shot 65.8% (52-79 FG) from the floor, 50.0% (8-16 3FG) from 3-point range and 81.8% (9-11 FT) from the line. Bosnia and Herzegovina shot 40.3% (25-62 FG) from the field and 25.8% (8-31 3FG) from 3 and 100% (1-1 FT) at the charity stripe.
PLAYER NOTES
Today's Terrific Trio: The leading scorer for the U.S. was Kelsey Plum who had 20 points (8-11 FG) to go with seven assists. Chelsea Gray was not far behind with 16 points (5-7 FG) and seven assists. Captain Breanna Stewart added 15 points (7-11 FG) and seven rebounds as well.
Sunshine in Sydney: The U.S. benefited from the output from the Connecticut Sun duo of Brionna Jones and Alyssa Thomas. Jones (14 points, five rebounds) has scored at least 10 points in each of the last three games at the competition. Thomas' five rebounds today (6.0 RPG) gave her 30 total in the Group Phase, including a team-best 10 offensive.
More Mystics Magic: The duo from DC continue help the USA. Shakira Austin scored 10-plus points for the third time with a 15 point performance. Ariel Atkins was a steady hand with her third game of 5-plus assists as she had five to go with three steals.
Guard Jewell Loyd (rest) did not play.
