USA Basketball announced today that it will bring its Open Court program, presented by Nike, to Washington, D.C.
The first Open Court session at Calvin Coolidge Senior High School will tip off on Sept. 18 and sessions run on selected days through Nov. 6. The goal of USA Basketball’s Open Court, which operates for 10 sessions in each city, is to connect children to the game of basketball in their communities by offering the opportunity to play for free in a fun, safe and developmentally appropriate environment.
Children choose how to engage in the sport through free play, skill games, five-on-five, 3x3 and station options during their designated age-based time slots. All programs are operated by USA Basketball licensed coaches.
The schedule for the Washington D.C. Open Court is available below and online by visiting the USA Basketball Open Court program.
Pre-registration is not required, and sessions are free to the community and open to all ability levels.
