- The USA Basketball Men's World Cup Qualifying Team earned a 105-71 victory over Uruguay on Thursday at Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas to open the second round and fourth window (six total) of Americas zone qualifiers.

- Group F: The U.S. will take the top spot in Americas Group F with the victory over Uruguay and now own a 6-1 overall record. Brazil (5-2), who shared the top spot in the group coming into the second round, fell to Puerto Rico (4-3) tonight, 72-75, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
- Second Quarter Start: The U.S. took control of the game in the second quarter with a 16-0 run (9:01-6:15) to take a 36-19 lead. The Americans led by double-digits for the remainder of the game after a David Stockton three pushed the lead to 11 (31-19) with 7:26 remaining in the frame.
- No Easy Baskets: The Americans won with disciplined team defense, not allowing any second chance points and only seven fast break points from their opponents.
- Revered Reserves: The Americans saw their bench contribute 53 of the team's 105 total points. The Americans outscored Uruguay's bench, 53-28.
- Shooting Stats: The USA shot 63.6% (42-66 FG) from the field, 51.7% (15-29 3FG) from 3-point and 66.7% (6-9 FT) from the line. Uruguay shot 50.9% FG (28-55 FG), 26.7% 3FG (4-15 3FG) and 52.4% FT (11-21 FT).

- Can't Miss Jenkins: John Jenkins led the U.S. with 22 points, a new career-high for the three-time Men's World Cup Qualifying team member, while shooting a blistering 88.9% (8-9 FG) from the field and 85.7% (6-7 3FG) from deep. He took over the second half for the red, white and blue by tallying 16 points without missing a shot (6-6 FG, 4-4 3FG). His six threes also tied Cameron Reynolds U.S. record for most threes in a World Cup Qualifier (2/22/19 vs. Panama).
- Giddy Up Galloway: Like Jenkins, Langston Galloway found his shooting stroke to help pace the USA in scoring. The Men's World Cup Qualifying Team veteran had 18 points (7-14 FG, 4-9 3FG) to go with three rebounds and four assists.
